Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has ordered the people to keep off from about 15 choice building allegedly linked to the former governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, located within Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.

One of the buildings located at the heart of the state capital is designed as hotel and event centre, another one is a petrol station under construction at Atikankan area and some buildings located very close to the government house designed as “Ile Baba Gomina”.

According to the investigation conducted yesterday, some residents very close to the buildings said men of the EFCC came to seal off the building early in the morning and place restriction order on the buildings with the captions, “EFCC, this building is under investigation”, EFCC KEEP OFF, with their red paints order from the headquarters.

It will be recalled that Mr. Ayodele Fayose, is in court with the EFCC over money allegedly linked to him from the former National Security Adviser, NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki, having being accused of benefiting from the sum of money that was used for his re-election as governor in 2014.

A statement from the former governor by his media aide, Mr. Lere Olayinka, said that he was informing the public ahead of the EFCC usual blackmail and media trial.

“Just been informed that the operatives of the EFCC in collaboration with the APC government in Ekiti are going about sealing houses of innocent people in the state, under the guise that the houses are linked to Fayose.

“This is another wild goose chase and the usual media campaign against my person. It is only in our country that an anti-corruption agency will first go about sealing houses before determining the ownership, which can be done so easily by visiting relevant agencies.

“None of the properties in questions is owned by Fayose and the records are there for anyone that is interested to see. The EFCC is advised to stop going about looking for ways to malign my person just because of their hatred as a result of my uncompromising stands on national issues.

“Even if the commission is being pressured from “above” to persecute Fayose at all cost, it should at least, do its job diligently to save itself from persistent embarrassment.”

The sealed properties includes a twin story building very close to the local government service commission in Ekiti State along Iyin road, Event centre and Hotel at Fjuyi area, a twin radio and television station building very close to Fajuyi area, 104.1 F.M, popularly called Our peoples voice, a fenced building very close to Fayose’s Spotless Hotel in GRA, Onigari area.

Others are a twin building along the government house, which housed three building inside, Greenland Group building, which are a two story building hospital and a petrol station under construction at Atikankan area of the state
