Seven traditional rulers who were early this week suspended for their alleged link with bandits have removed from their offices following investigation and confirmation of their active participation as accessories to several heinous crimes associated with banditory in the state.

The state commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs Alhaji Ballo Dankande Gamji announced this today.

Dankande who spoke on behalf of governor Abdulaziz Yari, discloses that non of the suspected rulers was exonerated from having hand in assisting the bandits.

He further explained that one of the rulers, a village head of Gurbin Baure Alhaji Bello Magaji was proved to have played a principal role in the unfortunate kidnap of the wife and the child of the commissioner of Youth and sports Alhaji Abdullahi Muhammed Gurbin Baure for a ransom of ten million naira, out of which a sum of eight hundred thousand was given to him as his share.

Other rulers also sacked include Alhaji Isah Sadik Balarabe district head of Ruwan Gora, Alhaji Altine Magaji district head of Ruwan Rana, Alhaji Hassan Muhammad Dutsi, village head of Tungar Dutsi and Marafa Zubairu village head of Baichin Birane.

The rest are Alhaji Sani Ruwan Dutsi, district head of Ruwan Jema (now at large) and one village of village head Gyado.
