The outgoing commandant of Kano Air force Comprehensive School Squadron leader Emmanuel John Ichimi has bagged the Media Action Award in recognition of his contributions towards the educational progress during his stay at the academy.

The Award titled ” Educational leadership award” was presented to the commandant flanked by the other too ranking officials of the school by the organisation’s coordinator, Malam Jabiru Hassan in his office shortly before departing to his new area of assignment.

Speaking shortly before presenting the award, Malam Jabiru stated that” due to what you have done in this school, we found it important to honour you today in anticipation of your excellent performance towards the development of Kano Air force comprehensive school especially by making the learning more conducive where we noticed that since your assumption, the school graduated brilliant students that are performing better in other institutions of learning”. He added.

Similarly, the coordinator lamented that the commandant has been penciled for the meritorious award due to his good leadership style, where he promoted cordial relationship between the school management and the host community in which NAF receives best respect in this regard, and called on the outgoing commandant to take the award as an encouragement in making more efforts to promoting all NAF’s given tasks in anywhere.

Responding, the outgoing commandant, Squadron leader Emmanuel John Ichimi described the award as another success in his career, and assured that his service to Nigeria air force would continue to yield success especially when the world is rapidly changing in every sector, where he thanked the Media Action management for observing his achievements and become eligible for their meritorious award at this important time.

” I wish to use this golden opportunity and thank both the senior and junior staff of this academy as well as non-teaching staff for giving me a wonderful support during my stay as the commandant of the Kano air force comprehensive school, and at the same time wish to acknowledge the cordial relationship that went sweet between the school and the entire people of the host community “. He added.

In conclusion, Squadron leader Ichimi commended the traditional rulers that surrounded the school’s catchment area for their maximum supports and fatherly advice’s whenever there is an activity at the school which gave him full view of the area with clean relationship.
