Bye-Election: APC triumph is a pointer to 2019 says Mashood Mustapha

A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state, Hon. Mashood Mustapha has described the victory in which their party enjoyed in the last Saturday’s bye-elections that held in Kwara, Bauchi and Katsina as a pointer to how the party will emerged victorious in 2019 general elections.

The former governorship aspirant on the platform of APC, specially congratulated the winner from Kwara State honourable Raheem Olawuyi Ajulopin who is to represent the people of Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-ero Federal Constituency at the green chamber in Abuja.

In his words “Ajulopin must hit the ground running immediately, and strive his best in attracting dividends of democracy to his constituency. And most importantly, he should solidify his relationship with other aspirants that participated in the primary election, carry stakeholders and party members along in his activities.”

The former federal lawmaker also commended the party members, electorates in the constituency, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Security agencies and others who made the bye-election hitch free. And implored the party stalwarts to build on that success ahead of 2019 general elections.

He also congratulated Mr. Yusuf Nuhu of Toro Federal Constituency, Bauchi State and Alhaji Abubakar Kusada of Kankiya/Kusada/Ingawa federal constituency, Katsina State for their victory in the Saturday polls.

Meanwhile, He expressed optimism over the imminent victory for President Muhammadu Buhari and other APC candidates across the country in 2019 general elections due to the trust and love in which Nigerians and electorates has for the party.

He, however, commiserated with the families of the four APC members from Irepodun local government area who lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident. He described the unfortunate occurence as a huge loss for the party, not only in Irepodun but Kwara state at large. And prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest.
