Tinibu Charges APC govs to remain servants of the people, Commends Uzodimma, Ododo’s Victory

    By Noah Ocheni, Lokoja

President Bola Tinubu has commended the re-elected Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, and the Governor-elect of Kogi State, Usman Ododo for working hard to win the votes and hearts of the people of their states in the recently conducted off-season governorship elections.

He gave the commendation on Friday while receiving Uzodimma and Ododo in Abuja.

In a press release made available to Journalists in Lokoja, the duo, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and some stalwarts of the ruling All Progressives Congress were led by the National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, to meet the President.

Tinubu expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the elections, which he described as free, fair, and peaceful.

Specifically addressing Uzodimma and Ododo, Tinubu said, “You worked hard for this victory. I am very proud of you.”

He advised Uzodimma and Ododo and other governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, to always put the interest of the people first and work for the good of their states.

The President said, “The real challenge has only started, and it will stare you (governors) in the face. That is the challenge of good governance. Make sure that everyone is carried along. You are now the servants of the people. To God be all the glory for the victories, and may God guide you.

“Once the people of Nigeria and their concerns are the focal point of your plans and actions, not only will governance be easier for you, but you will enhance the value of your states and the masses of the people will have new opportunities to grow and enjoy a new standard of living. This must be your driving focus as governors, but especially as governors elected on the platform of our great party.

“Two out of three is not a bad way to start. We will focus not on winning the elections alone but on delivering for the people. They are sovereign, and when we achieve what we promise, voters will respect us. We will work with you at the sub-national levels, and we will uphold the strength and superior excellence that is symbolized by the eagle on our coat of arms.”

In his remarks, APC National Chairman, Ganduje, said the party’s candidates conducted themselves with integrity as directed by the President during the elections, and that the party had conceded victory to the opposition in Bayelsa State.

“We lost the election in Bayelsa, and we have conceded in good faith. You directed that the elections should be free, fair, and peaceful, and it was so,” Ganduje said.

On behalf of those who contested the elections, the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, thanked the President for providing strong and purposeful leadership at the center, which enabled and energized their campaigns.

“We won because of the leadership you demonstrated. The country was struggling, but the economy has been responding to the reforms and rapid-response strategy you have put in place,” he said.

Mike Bamiloye Voices Concerns About Inconsistent Behavior in Some Wives

Renowned Christian film producer and founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Mike Bamiloye, shared his apprehensions regarding certain married women who, despite their pleasant demeanor in church, exhibit stubbornness, rudeness, and a lack of submission at home.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, Bamiloye emphasized the disparity between these women’s public and private behaviors, highlighting their unyielding nature, disrespect, and reluctance to be intimate with their husbands.

He wrote, “Some married women in the Lord are fond of having their ways all the time. They never submit to their husbands. They never follow their husband.

“They are beautiful to behold in beauty, they smile all the time, they stand beside their husband in the church, but they are not who they claim to be.

“They are the direct opposite at home. Stubborn, rude, unbroken, disrespectful, and very stingy with their body to their husband.

“They dictate their terms to give their husbands access to their body. They are hard at home, but soft in the church. Very unsubmissive and insensitive. May God Almighty deliver men from such ‘Sisters.’”

  • Factors That Contribute to the Perceived Longevity of Arranged Marriages

Factors That Contribute to the Perceived Longevity of Arranged Marriages

While the notion that arranged marriages tend to last longer than love marriages is a common belief, it’s crucial to approach this topic with a nuanced perspective. The longevity of any marriage depends on various factors, and generalizations may not universally apply.

Here are some factors often associated with the perceived longevity of arranged marriages:

    1. Family and Community Support:
Arranged marriages frequently benefit from the support and approval of both families and the broader community. This external backing establishes a robust foundation for the couple, fostering a sense of responsibility not only to each other but also to their families and community.

    2. Shared Values and Backgrounds:
Arranged marriages, particularly in specific cultures, may involve matching individuals with similar backgrounds, values, and cultural expectations. This alignment can reduce the likelihood of conflicts arising from differences in fundamental beliefs.

    3. Commitment to Making It Work:
Some arranged marriages exhibit a stronger commitment to making the relationship succeed. Socially, divorce may be less acceptable or carry more significant consequences, driving couples to invest more effort in overcoming challenges.

    4. Lower Expectations:
Individuals in arranged marriages might, in some cases, have lower expectations regarding romantic love or idealized notions of marriage. This pragmatic and realistic approach to relationship challenges can contribute to longer-lasting marriages.

    5. Parental Guidance:
Arranged marriages often involve parental or familial guidance, offering stability to the relationship. This guidance becomes particularly valuable during challenging times and can contribute to the enduring nature of the marriage.

It’s essential to note that these factors do not guarantee the success of arranged marriages universally. Successful love marriages exist, and societal attitudes toward arranged marriages are evolving. The key determinants of a marriage’s success lie in the commitment, communication, and compatibility of the individuals involved. Cultural, regional, and individual variations play a significant role, making each marriage a unique journey.
