Gov. Ishaku promises Tarabans more Chiefdoms if reelected 2019.

The Taraba state governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has assured Tarabans in Mararraba Baissa of his readiness to create more chiefdoms in the state if voted in to power come 2019.

Ishaku made the remarks during the 2018 edition of the Ichen cultural festival held at the ICADA Permanent Site in Marraraba Baissa.

The governor, said the essence of governance is to reach people at the grassroots and warned communities who want to undermine the good gesture to stop forthwith or face the consequences.

Ishaku donated ten million naira to the Ichen Cultural Development Association to enable them contruct their secretariat.

Commenting, Deputy Minority Leader at the National Assembly Emmanuel Bwacha reassured Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku of the Ichen nation resolve to support him in next year governorship election.

Earlier, National President of Ichen Cultural Development Association Bibinu Samuel Amed bemoaned cases of armed robbery, kidnapping and other criminal elements along Marraraba to Takum, Takum to Katstina Ala,Takum to Wukari including Marraraba Shimo to Donga.

Bibinu Samuel appealed to the Governor to consider the installation of second class chief of Kurmi Local Government Area and also requested him to build a befitting hospital in Marraraba Shimo to provide health care for the people.

Our correspondent reports that the Gara of Donga Danjuma Stephen Bayonga, Air Vice Marshall Usman Bibinu, Elder Danlami Shamaki, Member house of Representatives Charles Hosea, Justice Hannatu Bibinu, Member representing Donga State Constituency in the state house of Assembly Douglas Ndatse and other notable persons from the Ichen extraction attended the occasion.
