Special assistant on inter-governmental affairs to governor Mohammad Badaru of Jigawa state has resigned from his position and quit the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and joined the social democratic party (SDP).

Musdapher Kaloma confirmed his defection while briefing journalists, He explained that his defection was because of the failure of APC administration to actualised the change it has propagated during the 2019 general election.

He, therefore, accused both APC and PDP for the imposition of candidates saying that both the parties are lacking internal democracy and the only alternative is Social Democratic Party SDP.

“I registered my new membership with the SDP with the hope that things will get better and the voices of the people will be heard, attend to and supersede personal interest,” He said.

Governor Badaru’s media aide, Bello Zaki denied the allegations that governor Badaru imposed a candidate on any electorate throughout the primary election.

He said Kaloma decided to quit APC and joint the SDP because he lost primaries and for his selfish interest.
