2 Died Following Church Collapse in Taraba

A worship center known as Holy Ghost church International has Collapsed in the early hours of today Sunday killing 2 Persons living many with serious degree of injuries.

The sad event took place in Chanchanji Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State after members of the Church gather to perform their weekly Sunday Service.

Confirming the incident to Daybreak news, one time Supervisory Councilor representing Chanchanji ward, in Takum LGA, and a member of the Church, Mathew Adega said the victims are mostly male, female and children.

According to the eyewithness the incident was course due to heavy downpour which lasted for several hours.

At the time of filling the report Daybreak news could not confirmed the exert numbers of victims affected as they were said to have been conveyed to unknown Hospital in Takum for medical attention.

Effort by our Correspondent to speak with the Chairman Takum Local Government, Shiban Tikari, on the issue proved abortive as he is not responding to phone Calls.
