The National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR) has said that preparations are in top gear to host the 2022 World Sustainable Gastronomy Day coming up on Saturday, 18th June 2022 in Abuja at the International Conference Centre, Abuja as the Nigerian Jollof Rice takes center stage while Chinese, Spanish, Ethiopia and other countries would be on display thier local cuisines.

Director Media/ PR of the Institute made available to Daybreak today the Director General of NIHOTOUR , Nura Kangiwa made this known in his office in Abuja.
Kangiwa while highlighting expected activities of the event stated that the event will feature exhibition of indigenous cuisines fr by Nigerian caterers who will display their best dishes from the six geopolitical zones of the country in addition to dishes from China, Spain and Ethiopia for guests and visitors to taste.
The DG further disclosed that personalities who have distinguished themselves by contributing to the education, skill acquisition and professional practice in the Travel Tourism and,. Hospitality sector of the country will also be honored with Fellowship Award.
Meanwhile, Kangiwa hinted that to spice the celebration Cooking and Essay writing competition would be part of the event and winners would be award with prices
