2023: Eno has best blueprint for A’Ibom – Peters

As political campaigns take center stage for 2023, Pastor Umoh Eno, the PDP Guber candidate in Akwa Ibom state has been said to be the  candidate with the best blueprint for the collective good of Akwa Ibom people if elected into office as governor.

Special Assistant,SA, on Media to Governor Udom Emmanuel, Revd Richard Peters made  the remarks during his contributions in a live phone in programme of  a private Radio station based  in Abak, Akwa Ibom, monitored by our Correspondent yesterday.

According to Peters,”I have challenged Media directors and spokespersons of other Guber candidates to show me what their principals have in stock for Akwa Ibom people and all they do was to refer me to the Internet and when I surf the net, all I saw was grumbles about not being compensated by the party with Guber ticket after years of loyalty or that its their turn to produce governor nothing more.”

The SA who expressed dismay at the level such demands have reduced the exalted office of the governor said it is a clear indications that other contenders are ill prepared for the challenges that awaits  the occupant of the office of the governor in a fast growing state like Akwa Ibom.

Peters further highlighted, “I have seen Pastor Umo Eno as the only governorship candidate with comprehensive blueprint for the people and ways to actualise them but unfortunately others anchor their campaign to be elected based on their alleged loyalty to the party or based on their imaginery and non existing micro zoning of the office of the governor.”

Revd Peters who also doubles as a  Cleric of the African Church stated that if previously, leaders of the state were to be  elected based on such trivialities then the state would not have recorded the current achievements and milestones they’re enjoying presently.

“We need another Governor in the mould of Udom Emmanuel whom against all distractions had given us democratic dividends.

“We have seen 25 working industries, several road networks, great boost in Agricultural revolution, improved health facilities, political tolerance and inclusiveness human capacity development, peace and security and many more from a pragmatic and God fearing leader.

“Pastor Umo Eno is a good entrepreneur who started his hospitality concerns with about five rooms and grew it into a conglomerate of businesses in hospitality sector with more than 2000 people in his employ.

“He is a very focused fellow who has admonished his supporters to campaign only on issues and avoid using foul languages on others with divergent opinions. He has a clear blueprint for the people and never desperate for power.” He explained.

Peters advised Akwa Ibom people to be circumspect in dealing with politicians and avoid being swayed by sentiment and emotions as they gear up to elect the next crop of leaders.
