21 Southern Kaduna Prominent Politicians Decamp to APC in One week

Decampees galore hits Southern Kaduna with 21 prominent politicians moved to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in kaduna state.

Recalled that Kaduna Southern is predominantly dominated with People Democrats Party (PDP) and Labour party (LP), membership respectfully.

The list of those the decamped to APC in the last one week from other parties from Southern Kaduna State rose to up to 21.

They include,1. Sen Danjuma Laar, formally representing kaduna southern, 2. Hon Godfrey Ali Gaiya (Former Member House Of REPS), 3. Hon Amos Gwamna Magaji’s (Serving Member House Of Reps Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency.

Others are “4. Hon Donatus K. Mathew (Member Of Reps Kaura Federal Constituency), 5. Hon Henry Marah Zakarieh (Member Representing Jaba Constituency State House of Assembly), 6. Hon. Samuel Kambai Koza (Member Representing Zango constituency (Kaduna State House Of Assembly), respectfully.

It reads: 7. Barrister Emmanuel Kantiok (Member State Assembly Kaduna Zonkwa Constituency), 8. Hon. Ado Doguwa Audu (Three Times Member,House Of Reps), 9. Eng Joseph Chiroma (Retired Staff Of TCN).

“10. Hon Paul Wani (Former Chairman,Kauru LGA), 11. Hon Mikiah Tokwak (Former Chairman Of Jemaah Local Government), 12. Hon Morondia Tanko (Former State Assembly Member,Kagarko Constituency), 13. Hon Timothy Chindo (Former Member,Kaduna State Assembly), 14. Hon Shehu Tafarke (Former PDP chairman Kagarko LGA).

“15. Eng Michael Auta (Labour Party zone 3 Senate Ticket Flag Bearer In 2023 Elections), 16. Hon Keneth Suwa (Former exco member,NNPP), 17. Hon Ben Kure (Former State Chairman of NNPP), 18. Hon NUhu Audu (Former NNPP state chairman), 19. Sunday Baba (Former vice Jema’a LGA)., 20. Isah Ciroma,Labour Party Chairman and 21. Hon. Seth Bakut respectfully.

Reports have it that Governor Uba Sani, reportedly received 22 PDP, LP decampees to APC from Southern Kaduna penultimate weekend.

“Kaduna State governor Uba Sanihas received over 22 prominent politicians from the opposition parties and their supporters at the All Progressives Congress (APC) zonal rally, which was held in Kafanchan on Friday.

“Besides, the rally, held at the New Choice Hall, was witnessed by thousands of APC supporters from Southern Kaduna and political stalwarts from across the state, who passed a vote of confidence in the Uba Sani administration.

“The decampees comprised serving and former federal legislators, as well as lawmakers from the Kaduna State House of Assembly, former council chairmen, state party chairmen, and flagbearers of opposition parties.

Those who left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) include Senator Danjuma La’ah, the immediate past senator representing Zone 3, Godfrey Ali Gaiya, a former House of Representatives member, and Ado Dogo Audu, a three-time member of the House of Representatives.

The representative of Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency, Amos Gwamna Magaji, and Donatus K. Mathew, another member of the House of Representatives representing Kaura Federal Constituency, also defected to the APC.

State legislators like Henry Marah Zakarieh, representing Jaba Constituency, Samuel Kambai Koza from Zango Constituency, and Barrister Emmanuel Kantiok of Zonkwa Constituency have also cross-carpeted to the APC.

Former Council Chairman of Jemaa Local Government Area (LGA), Mikiah Tokwak, ex-Vice Chairman Sunday Baba, and ex-Chairman of Kauru Local Government, Paul Wani, are now in the APC.

Similarly, former PDP Chairman in Kagarko Local Government, Shehu Tafarke, ex-NNPP State Chairman Ben Kure and his successor, Nuhu Audu, including the state chairman of the Labour Party, Isah Ciroma, are now APC members.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Uba Sani explained that the APC is now taking over Southern Kaduna, which used to be the political enclave of the PDP, because his administration is anchored on justice.

According to the governor, he is abiding by the oath of his office by being just to every segment of Kaduna State, irrespective of party affiliation or ethno-religious background.

Governor Uba Sani said that after the election, politics should take a back seat while governance takes center stage, adding that this is the hallmark of leadership.

The governor said that the focus of his administration is to bring about peaceful coexistence in order to achieve even development, arguing that if there is no peace, there will be no development.

He said that President Bola Tinubu is pleased with what is happening in Kaduna State, as he wants the state to be a model of peaceful coexistence, and that is why he has been supporting it.

Governor Uba Sani disclosed that President Tinubu told him three days ago that the Kaduna Light Rail project and the Kwoi-Kafanchan road are in the 2025 budget.

Recalled that Tinubu led APC administration has approved federal university and appointment Southerners.
