3 Tips on How to Begin a Serious Relationship

Individuals have their different ways on how to go about starting a relationship, some just let things flow with a natural rhythm while others take the initiative to reveal their intentions from the outset. Although, there are many relationships that are not clearly defined.

However, if you are thinking about getting into a serious relationship with a clearly defined goal, here are tips on how to go about it.

1. Make your standards clear

You will never know what to expect from someone when you do not even know what you want.

So, it is never wrong to set realistic standards but you should also learn and be ready to stick with your own requirements.

If at all you have to compromise, let your compromise not be on the things you regard as fundamental.

For instance, if you have the requirement of wanting a babe with a job and earning a certain annual/monthly income, it is logical to bend a little if you meet someone great but earns a little below your desired wage range.

However, it won’t make much sense if you actually decide to date someone who has no job at all and seemingly has no interest in getting one.

Never sell yourself short on what you truly are worthy of.

The process needs to be followed, and not rushed.

2. Be sincere, don’t just impress

For those willing to just chill with no particular end expected, it might be OK to be all about being fake and making impressions.

If you are interested in dating with intention, though, you need to be more than that.

Be yourself to the fullest, let the person see you as you are, their willingness to stick with you as you are is exactly what you need, so let them see the real you, so they can quickly decide if they want to stay or go.

You should no longer be aiming to impress. Be you.

3. Go with the process

You have an idea of where you want the relationship to be at some particular time, nevertheless, you should not forget that it is all a process.

As much as every step is measured and part of a plan, you should still not lose sight of the fact that it is meant to be a process.

The difference here is just that you are not leaving matters in the hands of fate.

You are in charge of your relationship and you dictate what happens all the way.
