63 kidnapped in fresh Kaduna attack

Information just received from Kosa village in Kajuru LGA, in Kaduna state says 63 people including a five year old child were among those kidnapped by bandits that invaded the area.

The source who is an indigenous Adara man told our correspondent that the five years old child was kidnapped while on motorcycles, after a man was shot and killed in the area dominated by Muslims.

According to him, bandits and kidnapping has become a regular incidents in their area, revealing that his sister narrowly escaped abduction recently in the area.

He expressed disappointment that those who are supposed to speak on incidents like district heads are keeping quiet because of fear of being deposed for saying the truth to the media, describing it as unfortunate.

Meanwhile, the people of Kateri village along Abuja-Kaduna road who spoke to journalists on Tuesday through a mediator, alao decried incessant bandits attacks, pleading for from the government.

Kaduna state Police spokesman Asp Mansir has not made any official statement on the incidents, which reportedly occurred since Monday, when contacted.
