Buhari signs African Continental Free Trade Area agreement

President Muhammadu Buhari, on behalf of Nigeria, signed the agreement establishing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

The president, signed the AfCFTA agreement on Sunday, July 7, at the opening of the 12th Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of AU Heads of State and Gov on #AfCFTA in Niamey, Niger.

The presidency made the disclosure on Twitter.

Buhari had approved the recommendations of the Presidential Committee on the Impact and Readiness Assessment of the African Continental Free Trade Area, AfCFTA, agreement.
