Taraba PDP Gubertorial Primary, Rt. col. Ibrahim Kafas emerged winner.

The just concluded PDP gubertorial primariy in Jalingo the headquarters of Taraba state has ended with Rt. Col. Ibrahim Agbu Kefas emerging winner of the gubernatorial primary with 443 votes, defeating 4 PDP primary candidates.

Declearing the results on Wednesday in Jalingo, the National PDP returning officer Kabiru Bappa Joro said four out of five candidates of the PDP in Taraba namely, Prof. Joseph Albasu Kunini, Prof. Jerom Nyme, Dr. Hilkiyah Bubajoda Mafindi, Joel Ikenya and Hon. Victor Bala Kona.

Kabiru said, Joseph Albasu Kunini scored 31 votes, Professor Jerom Nyme 24 votes Hon. Joel Ikenya 11 votes while Dr. Hilkiyah Bubajoda Mafindi score 6 votes.

According to Kabiru the total votes cast was 522 and the total number of deligates was 517 and 2 invalid votes.

Earlier the immediate past chairman of PDP Taraba state who is also aspiring for the gubernatorial seat of the state, Hon. Victor Bala Kona withdrew from the race 15 minutes before the primary election at the venue of the election in Jalingo.

Daybreak news reports that the election was conducted peacefully as security agency turned out in their numbers.
