The Executive Secretary Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Rev. Dr Yakubu Pam has urged Christians to help rebuild Nigeria and not to tear it down. He made this assertion on 25th July,2022 while addressing Pilgrms at Tabar Hotel in Nazareth, Israel.

Rev. Pam explained that the essence of Pilgrmage is for personal and spiritual encounter with God through visits to Holy sites, he therefore urged Pilgrms not to use pilgrimage exercise as a platform for business but rather a time to worship God sincerely.

The NCPC boss emphasized that strong security measures have been put in place by NCPC and the the Israeli authorities to ensure that no pilgrim absconds. In his words,”it shouldn’t be heard that a state is known for abscondment”

The Executive Secretary said that Enugu State is a “home of Christianity.” He added that it is a state respected by all that is why he has had a robust relationship with the state over the years.

He advised Enugu pilgrims to behave responsibly and promote the state and Nigeria at large.

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Enugu State , Rev.Emmanuel Edeh in his remarks , appreciated the Executive Secretary for his presence, he also thanked him for his counsel and encouragement. In his words,”your presence here clearly shows that we are not alone”.

Rev.Edeh affirmed that Rev.Pam is a friend of the state, and as such he reassured that the state would do everything possible to promote Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria.

He explained that the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has shown great support for Christian Pilgrimage. In his words, “ Governor Ugwuanyi’s administration has been handed over to God that is why we are here on Pilgrmage to Israel to pray together for the good of the state”.
He therefore urged the pilgrims to portray a good image of the state and ensure they maintain a clean record throughout the exercise.
