Sokoto Serving Commissioner Dumps PDP To APC

Barely less than twenty four hours after the defection of Tangaza Local Government Council Chairman Hon. Salihu Bashar Kalanjine, a serving Commissioner for Careers and Security Matters in Tambuwal’s Government, Retired Colonel Garba Moyi Isa has defected from the people’s Democratic party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The release by one of the Sokoto chapter of APC spokesmen, Bashar Abubakar MC further stated that Colonel Moyi Said he decided to dump the party as Tambuwal’s administration lacked trust and focuse to governe effeciently.

Moyi further explained that with the quality leadership of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko Sarkin Yamman Sokoto he don’t feel like leaving the Senator to undertake the affairs of Sokoto APC supporters without being associated with his giant efforts.

The commissioner later announced his resignation as member of the ruling PDP and also embarrassed of the state Executive council in charge of the Ministry of careers and security matters in the state.

Receiving the Decampee at his residence, APC leader in the state Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko charged him to work hard in ensuring the victory of APC in Sokoto East Senatorial District and the state at large during the forthcoming 2023 General elections.

Colonel Moyi (rtd) was accompanied during the formal declaration to APC at Gawon Nama Sokoto, residence of Senator Wamakko by the Deputy Gubernatorial candidate Idris Muhammad Gobir, APC Senatorial candidate Ibrahim Lamido Isa and APC House of Representatives Candidate Abdulkadir Jelani Danbuga as well as APC chairman of Sabon Birni local government area Alh. Yawale Sarkin Baki.

Many personalities were at hand to assist Senator Wamakko in welcoming the new catch into the APC fold.
