Constituting a high powered committee to checkmate excess flooding in Jigawa state by governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has been described as an excellent move that would bring an excellent remedy to the disaster across the state.
This was disclosed to our correspondent by the executive chairman of All farmers association of Nigeria, Jigawa state chapter Alhaji Idris Yau Mai Unguwa in Duse this weekend, adding that the governor is making good impact to end the flooding in Jigawa state.
Mai Unguwa noted that ” Jigawa state chapter of the All farmers association is excited to hear that a 10 member committee has been constituted in order to find a lasting solution to flooding in our state and AFAN would continue to support anything that will bring an end to the disaster which is becoming a great threat to livelihood”.
Furthermore, Idris Yau Mai Unguwa thanked the Jigawa state government under the stewardship of governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar and his lieutenants for changing the face of Jigawa state to an exemplary domain as seen on ground.
In conclusion, the Jigawa state AFAN chapter commiserate with the victims that were affected by the flooding which resulted in the lost of lives and properties, and called for the immediate implementation of the 10 member committee that was constituted to checkmate the flooding when the reports is submitted.
