Universities and date of resumption of academic activities

Following the call-off of eight months strike by members of Academic staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Nigerians universities have been announcing dates of resumption of their academic activities.

Below are some of the details

  1. University of Abuja has announced that its portal is now open for registration and students should complete their registration not later than two weeks from Friday, October 14.

“This is to inform our undergraduate and postgraduate students that following the suspension of strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the portal is now open for registration.
“Students should complete their registeration not later than 2 weeks from now,”

  1. Federal University of Lafia, all students will resume the second semester of the 2020/2021 academic session on Sunday, October 21 as academic activities will commence on Monday, October 31.
  2. Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE) has also directed all its students to resume the 2021/2022 academic session on Monday, October 17.
  3. Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK)
    UNIZIK academic activities will resume on Monday, October 17, to complete the 2021/2022 session.
  4. Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) resumed immediately on Friday, October 14.
  5. Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa Sule
    Lamido University, Kafin Hausa will commence the first semester, 2021/2022 academic session on Monday, October 31.
  6. Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike will also resume on Monday, October 17.
  7. Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) – Senate meeting on Monday
  8. Federal University Lokoja – Senate meeting Monday
  9. Federal University Dutsin – Monday
  10. University of Ibadan – Monday
  11. Adekunle Ajasin University – Monday
  12. University of Benin (UNIBEN) – Tuesday
