Sanwo-Olu Transforms National Stadium into Festival City ahead of Eko NAFEST 2022

Ahead of Eko NAFEST 2022, slated for November , Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has transformed the National Stadium formally a famous sports arena into a festival city.

The 36 states of the Federation are expected to storm the city of lagos, from November 7th to 13th, next month.
The gigantic Stadium which over the year was left to rot now wears a new look with impressive and colourful facilities, connecting cultural tourism and sports.

Facilities wearing new look include the five mini stadias used for training and sports games, artistic works display and renovations of toilets and recreation areas, and signposts.

The renovated stadium would hold Nigeria’s biggest cultural tourism extravaganza, about to dust the record of the 2019 NAFEST hosted in Rivers State by Gov. Yesome Wike, the governor anticipates.
Otunba Segun Runsewe, Director General of National Council for Arts and Culture, NCAC and President, Africa Region of World Craft Council (NCC), visited Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism Mrs Akinbile to inspect finishing touches to the festival city.

Otunba Segun Runsewe said that there’s is joint efforts with Akinbile to reposition security for the festival, which will feature housands of cultural delegations and troupes from all the country.

Otunba Runsewe said, ” Lagos State is known for massive investment in security architecture, there is no doubt governor Babajide sanwo-0lu, has found a powerful and willing destination for marketers of Culture.

Pharmacist Akinbile, assured that the Eko Nafest would showcase the culture and economic investment opportunities in Lagos, the city of aquatic splendour.

Gov. Sanwo-Olu has planned a special media tour to be led by Sunday Dare, Nigeria’s Sports Minister to officially unveil this refreshing transformation of the Sports city and also its octopus capacity to provide revenue yielding opportunities for out door events on sports, culture and tourism.
