Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has approved upgrading of twenty-four senior civil servants in the state to the rank of Directors-General.
In a statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Muhammad Bello, those appointed are Fatima A. Tafida, Adamu Garba, Luba Usman, Asma’u Bajini Galadanchi, Al-Mustapha Alh. Bello, Umaru Muhammad Yabo and Aminu Liman.
Others are, Babuga Muhammad Binji, Shehu Muhammad Goronyo, Yahaya Muhammad Dan’iya, Habiba Abdul’azeez, Faruku Dandare, Ukashatu Muhammad, Gado Yusuf Kware, Faruku Muhammad Umar, Muhammad Nasiru Abubakar, Lawali Shehu Tambuwal and Habibu Alhaji Tsoho saying the appointments takes immediate effect.
The are, Umaru D. Salah, Labaran Aliyu Isa, Kulu Muhammad Suleiman, Kabiru Shehu Alkanci, Hussaina Abdulrazak and Dalhatu Altine.
According to the Head of Civil Service, Abubakar Muhammad (mni), “the appointments were made in consideration of the track record, experience and dedication of the officers in the state service.
“The government admonishes them to see their appointments as a call for greater service to the government and people of Sokoto state,” added the Head of Civil Service, who wished them God’s guidance in the discharge of their new appointments.
