In commemoration of what would have been Michael Jackson’s 65th posthumous birthday, his sons Prince and Blanket were captured making a rare public appearance in Las Vegas on Tuesday.
Prince, aged 26, and Blanket, aged 21, were spotted engaging with guests at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Sin City. They had just attended a performance of “Michael Jackson ONE” by Cirque du Soleil, a show that incorporates Jackson’s greatest hits with acrobatics, dance, and visual effects that immerse the audience in his music.
Prince sported a gray T-shirt, blue jeans, a blue baseball cap, and a well-groomed short beard. Blanket, who is less frequently seen in public, donned a casual black button-up shirt, paired with matching pants and shoes. While Prince interacted enthusiastically with fans, Blanket appeared more reserved and kept to himself in the photographs.
Notably absent from the outing was their sister Paris Jackson, aged 25, who is currently on tour with her band.
Michael Jackson fathered Prince and Paris with his former wife Debbie Rowe, to whom he was married from November 1996 to April 2000. Blanket, whose full name is Prince Michael Jackson II, was born via a surrogate mother, although her identity remains undisclosed.
In 2002, Jackson sparked controversy when he briefly dangled Blanket from the balcony of the Hotel Adlon in Berlin, a moment that became infamous.
Michael Jackson passed away in June 2009 at the age of 50 due to acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication at his home in the Los Angeles area.
