“Ministry of Tourism Denies Poisoning Rumors Surrounding Minister Lola Ade-John”

By Daniel Edu

The Federal Ministry of Tourism has denied reports of the alleged poisoning of the Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John. Emem Offiong, the Ministry’s assistant director of Press, refuted the news as false in an interview with Leadership on Tuesday. She urged Nigerians not to give credence to such rumors.

Earlier reports, as claimed by the Peoples Gazette, suggested that Minister Lola Ade-John had been hospitalized in Abuja due to alleged poisoning and was receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre in Jabi, Abuja. The family reportedly feared that time was running out to save her life.

The publication did not provide specific details regarding the substance ingested or how the alleged poisoning occurred. According to sources, the Minister had been on a machine to assist her breathing during her hospitalization. Additionally, there were alleged disagreements between the Minister’s family and the Ministry over where she should receive treatment.
