Kaduna Distributes Medical Items to hard reach areas through Drones, Zipline

Kaduna State Government in conjunction with Zipline company is using drones to deliver medical items to the hard reach areas in the state.
Samuel Timothy Noma, the operations manager of Zipline in Nigeria and a pharmacist by profession revealed this when he conducted media men round the Zipline distribution center situated in Pambegua area of the state.
He said now by using drones, health facilities across 12 LGAs of Kaduna, received a minimum of 150 medical items on daily basis, capturing 291 health facilities.
Timothy added that the average time from receiving the order through flying from the central zipline area, is 5 minutes.
According to him, centralizing also help store those health commodities so that at the instance of every call we quickly deliver them to the facilities.
Also speaking, the Zipline flight operations lead, Jeremiah Duna said more than 10,000 flights have been carried out from the distribution center since inception of the operations.
Also the Team Lead for the logistics supplies, Kwasu Kanchok said the operations covers a maximum of 80 kilometers from the distribution center.
