Military airstrikes killed 30 terrorists in Kaduna -NAF

In a strategic move, the military air component of Operation Whirl Punch executed precision airstrikes in Kaduna’s Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, successfully eliminating 30 terrorists traveling on motorcycles. Acting on credible intelligence regarding the terrorists’ movements, the military took decisive action against the syndicate responsible for recent attacks, including an ambush on troops at Kwanan Mutuwa and multiple abductions in the Birnin Gwari LGA.

According to Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information, the airstrikes targeted the Kwiga-Kampamin Doka axis, where the terrorist syndicate was detected. The detailed scan of the area revealed a convoy of 15 motorcycles, each carrying at least two armed terrorists. The precision strike effectively neutralized the threat and eliminated several terrorists.

The intelligence further indicated the syndicate’s involvement in various security breaches in the region, emphasizing their responsibility for recent attacks and abductions. The success of the operation demonstrates the military’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and kidnapping from the Northwest and Northcentral regions of Nigeria.

The aftermath of the airstrike showcased the impact of the military action, underscoring the significance of such operations in combating insecurity. The Birnin Gwari area, previously plagued by persistent security challenges, particularly attacks leading to casualties and abductions, may see improvements in stability as a result of these targeted military efforts.
