The Vice Chancellor, Bayero University Kano announced that the institution was ranked as number 5 after the 2024 Universities assessment and ranked 2ndin terms of international outlook.
He disclosed this at the 38th convocation Saturday where the University graduated 11,284 in 18 faculties and reassured that the institution would continue to maintain its status quo with optimum results.
During the ceremony, 180 students receives first class honours, and conferred higher degrees and post graduate diplomas on 5,432 graduands who completed their studies at the University.
The convocation was graced by the minister of education Professor Tahir Mamman, the Senate President Godswil Akphabio, while the deputy Senate President Senator Barau I Jibrin and the president of the African Development Bank Akinwumi Adesina were conferred with Doctorate degree for their utmost contribution to the development of education.
