Benue State University, Makurdi has established the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies with six departments (degree programs).
A statement by the Acting Dean of the Faculty, Rev Fr Professor Vitalis Torwegh, indicated that full activities shall commence during the next academic session.
The development led to the appointments of Acting Dean of the Faculty and Heads of Departments of the degree awarding programs. These include;
Rev Fr Professor Vitalis Torwegh, Acting Dean of the Faculty, Professor Micheal Kombol, Acting Head of Department in charge of Broadcasting, Professor Andrew Ijwo, Acting Head, Department of Communication, Dr Tyotom Keghku, Acting Head of Department, Public Relations.
Others are; Dr Kelvin Alom, Acting Head of Department, Journalism and Media Studies, Dr Maria Onyilo, Acting Head of Department Advertisement, Dr Caleb Chile, Acting Head of Department Strategic Communication.
