Suspected Cultists Fatally Shoot Man and Pregnant Wife in Delta

Tragedy struck in Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, as gunmen believed to be cultists shot dead Mr. Bobby Kabah and his pregnant wife.

The incident occurred amid ongoing clashes between rival cult groups in the community, causing chaos, panic, and grief among residents.

According to a community source who spoke anonymously, Kabah and his wife were at home in Agidiasei quarters when two gunmen entered the house around 8:35 pm and opened fire, killing them on the spot.

The source revealed that Kabah, recuperating from a recent motorbike accident, was relaxing with his wife when the assailants struck.

The recent wave of violence in Ogwashi-Uku has claimed six lives in the past two weeks, exacerbating fears among locals.

Confirming the incident, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, stated that although Kabah and his wife weren’t legally married, they resided together and were both killed in the same house.

The community had been tense since February when a prominent cult figure known as Lucky was killed by a rival group, prompting the closure of businesses, including drinking bars and shops, out of fear of reprisals.
