The Appeal Court sitting in Enugu has declared Honourable Obinna Chidoka of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) as the duly elected House of Representatives member representing Idemili North and Idemili South federal constituency.
The court dismissed Ibezi Ifeanyichukwu, the candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), who was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after the state election to the National Assembly on February 23.
The court ordered INEC in its ruling to issue a Return Certificate to Chidoka and revoke the APGA candidate’s certificate.
His win, particularly among his followers and supporters, has ignited celebrations on social media.
