In an announcement posted on Instagram (nsibofficial) by Bimbo Oladeji, the Director of Consumer Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at NSIB, it was confirmed that the bureau is actively investigating the incident.
“NSIB is apprised of the derailment incident involving an Abuja-bound train from Kaduna, occurring midway through the journey at Jere. A specialized team has been dispatched to the scene of the occurrence,” she stated.
