Gov Alia Implores Benue Citizens To Eschew Planned Nationwide Hunger Protest

Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, Has Enjoined Unions, Groups And Individuals Intending To Join The August 1st, 2024 Planned Nationwide Protest Against Hardship And Bad Governance In The Country To Shelve The Idea.

In A Statement By The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, The Governor Advised Them To Bring To The Table Their Demands And Give The Government A Chance To Look Into Them.

“Recall That August 1st, 2024 Has Been Muted As The Date For The Planned Demonstration By Unidentified Groups Across The Country, Who Are Citing Hardship And Bad Governance As Reasons For Their Protest.”

The Governor Stressed That It Was Imperative That The The Planned Nationwide Protest To Be Shelved In The State And Country, Especially As The Present Government Is Trying Its Best To Put Smiles On The Faces Of The People.

He Lauded The Commissioner Of Police In Charge Of Benue State, Cp Hassan Steve Yabanet, As Well As The Department Of State Services (Dss), For Inviting Some Union Leaders And Groups For A Round Table Discussions, Appealing To Them To Shun The Protest.

Gov Alia, Applauded, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Over His Unwavering Love For Benue State, Noting That, All The Projects His Administration Is Currently Executing Across The State, Were As A Result Of The Support The State Is Enjoying From The President.
