NSCDC Mobilizes 2,000 Personnel in Kaduna for Upcoming Protests

By Milcah Tanimu

In anticipation of the planned nationwide protests, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 2,000 personnel across Kaduna State.

Mrs. Lucy Fakoya, the State Commandant, announced the deployment while addressing officers in Kaduna on Wednesday. She emphasized that the personnel are assigned to safeguard lives, property, and critical infrastructure during the demonstrations.

Fakoya stated that Divisional Officers have been instructed to oversee the protection of assets from potential vandalism and disorder. “We will not tolerate any breakdown of law and order,” she warned, “Anyone involved in such activities will be held accountable.”

She also urged community leaders to advise their members against engaging in disruptive behavior during the protests.
