Enemies of Rivers Will Be Shamed – Fubara’s Wife Declares

Valerie Siminalayi Fubara, wife of the Rivers State Governor, has expressed her joy at the gathering of women from the state’s 23 local government areas to pray for the success of the government. She affirmed that since God listens to the prayers of His people, He will address the state’s challenges and bring shame to those opposing peace and progress.

Speaking at the 2024 Rivers Women Converge programme in Port Harcourt, Fubara confidently declared that their prayers had been answered, emphasizing the power of being in God’s presence.

In a statement issued by the Government House Press unit on Thursday, she said, “I am excited to be in the presence of the Lord. I love praising God, and I can’t come here without dancing because God brings me joy.”

Fubara praised the convener for uniting the women in prayer and urged them to continue interceding for the state. She emphasized that prayer brings solutions and accelerates progress.

She added, “I want to thank my sister, the convener, for gathering women from all over Rivers State to praise God. I plead with all of us to continue praying, as prayer makes things better and faster.”

Addressing the upcoming October 5 local government elections, the governor’s wife said she was not concerned, believing that God is already working behind the scenes. “October 5 is proof that God is in control. I walk by faith, not by sight, and my faith has never failed me. God never fails.”

She urged the women, as mothers, to continue praying for the peace, stability, and progress of Rivers State, and to seek divine guidance for the government and its policies.
