Senator Lalong Secures Plateau’s Support in Senate as Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda Confirmed Minister of Humanitarian Affairs

It was a smooth process for plateau state’s ministerial nominee, dr. Nentawe yilwatda goshewe, during his screening at the nigerian senate in abuja. Dr. Yilwatda, nominated for the ministry of humanitarian affairs and poverty reduction, received unanimous support from the plateau state delegation.

Senator simon bako lalong, the first to speak among plateau’s three senators, announced a consensus to fully endorse dr. Yilwatda’s confirmation. He praised dr. Yilwatda’s qualifications and extensive achievements as an educator, researcher, public servant, and social worker, highlighting his dedication and integrity.

Lalong also expressed gratitude to president bola tinubu for nominating the former plateau apc gubernatorial candidate, describing him as a highly respected figure, especially at the grassroots level.

Joining lalong in his endorsement, senator diket plang of plateau central and senator dachunggyang pam of plateau north also voiced strong support for dr. Yilwatda.

Earlier, senate minority leader senator abba moro stated that dr. Yilwatda’s nomination was well-deserved, citing his experience and ability to deliver results. After a round of congratulatory comments and questions from other senators, senate president godswill akpabio invited dr. Yilwatda to “Take a bow and go.”

Celebrations continued at senator lalong’s residence, where supporters, friends, and well-wishers gathered to commend lalong’s pivotal role in dr. Yilwatda’s successful appointment and screening. Dr. Yilwatda thanked senator lalong and the plateau state apc family, promising to work diligently and requesting prayers for the success of president tinubu’s “Renewed hope” agenda.

Senator lalong reiterated his appreciation to the president for entrusting such a sensitive role to dr. Yilwatda and plateau state. Apc deputy national secretary barr. Festus fuanter also praised senator lalong’s leadership, emphasizing his role in bolstering the apc’s presence and successes in plateau state. He pledged continued support for the party’s progress and the state’s development.
