Nollywood actors and siblings Gabriel and Aremu Afolayan have joined their elder brother, Kunle Afolayan, in mourning the loss of their beloved mother.
Kunle Afolayan recently shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, expressing the difficulty of accepting her passing but finding comfort in the legacy of her good life. He requested prayers for his family during this challenging time.
Aremu Afolayan took to Instagram to post a heartfelt tribute, sharing a photo of his mother and praying for her peace. “Maami… Rest well. May the Lord in His mercy grant you happiness wherever you may be. I love you,” he wrote.
Gabriel Afolayan, too, expressed his grief on social media, sharing how much they will miss her presence. “Home is not cool. We lost a very dear one. You’d be greatly missed, big mummy (Iya Oyo). We all love you to bits. I’ll miss my gist and dance partner. Rest on #maami,” he wrote, also sending love to his siblings.
Earlier in 2023, Kunle Afolayan celebrated his mother’s 80th birthday with a memorable party, sharing cherished photos of her from her younger days to recent moments with her grandchildren. In the same year, Aremu Afolayan penned a touching tribute to honor his mother’s sacrifices, recalling how she overcame countless challenges to provide for him and his siblings. He revealed her selflessness, even selling her belongings to put food on the table.
The Afolayan family’s loss is felt deeply, and fans have joined in sending their condolences and prayers.
