Shehu Sani Urges Nigerians in US to Return Amid Mass Deportations

By Abigail Philip David

Former Kaduna Central senator Shehu Sani has taken to Twitter to advise Nigerians currently residing in the United States to return home, citing the risk of deportation under President Donald Trump’s administration.

Since taking office, President Trump has initiated a large-scale deportation drive targeting illegal migrants without proper documentation. In the past few days, thousands of individuals have reportedly been deported back to their home countries.

Warning Nigerians who may be hiding from these measures, Sani tweeted: “Nigerians in the US hiding from Trump’s deportation should just humbly come back home.”

Sani’s remarks come as the US government continues its strict enforcement of immigration laws, urging undocumented migrants to comply with federal regulations to avoid being forcibly removed.
