By Israel Adamu, Jos

The Plateau Regeneration Group has praised the appointment of Hon. Joyce Ramnap as Commissioner for Information and Communication by His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the Executive Governor of Plateau State.

In a statement signed by the group’s spokesman, Pam Datiri, they expressed strong confidence in Hon. Ramnap’s ability to excel in her new role.

“As a group, we express our full support for the appointment of Hon. Joyce Ramnap as Commissioner by Governor Caleb Mutfwang,” the statement read. “Her appointment is well-deserved, and we are confident she will rise to the task ahead of her.”

The group highlighted Hon. Ramnap’s impressive political track record, noting her previous role as a member of the Plateau State House of Assembly, where she rose to the position of Deputy Speaker. This, they said, earned her widespread admiration across the state.

“Hon. Joyce Ramnap is eloquent, intelligent, and possesses the requisite expertise and experience to elevate the Ministry of Information to greater heights,” the statement added.

The group further emphasized her positive impact on the people of Langtang South during her time in the House of Assembly, citing her dedication to delivering the dividends of democracy.

They also noted that Hon. Ramnap’s open-door policy will foster greater access for youths and women to the Governor Mutfwang-led administration, thereby strengthening grassroots support.

“Knowing Hon. Joyce Ramnap as a goal-getter, we firmly believe the Ministry of Information is in capable hands,” they stated.

The group called on media professionals to partner effectively with the new commissioner to better serve the people of Plateau State.

Additionally, they urged the newly sworn-in commissioners to reciprocate the governor’s trust by committing themselves to the administration’s goals.

“We commend Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his renewed vigor in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Plateau State,” the statement concluded. “The participatory process in selecting these commissioners demonstrates the governor’s firm commitment to sustaining peace and good governance in our state.”
