2025 HAJJ: FCT MPWB to distribute travelling materials to intending pilgrims

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, is to commence distribution of travelling materials to intending pilgrims during the second phase exercise of at the permanent hajj camp, Bassan Jiwa, Abuja.close to Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd February 2025.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Muhammad Lawal Aliyu, the board has secured the materials to enable the intending pilgrims prepare on time for the spiritual journey.

The items for distribution include Uniforms, literature and audio materials to engage the intending pilgrims to continue with the learning of Hajj rites during the fasting of the Islamic month of Ramadan.

However, activities for the intending pilgrims would be suspended during the fasting period to enable them have sufficient time to participate in Ramadan activities.

The spokesman noted that the full preparations for the hajj would resume after the fasting to actualise the success of the operation and ensure that intending pilgrims are well prepared for the spiritual journey to the holy land of Saudi Arabia.

The Board is determined to ensure that intending pilgrims get the rudiments of performing hajj in order to have value for their hard-earned money paid to perform the religious obligation.

He disclosed that, as usual, the second phase of the orientation exercise this weekend would be conducted in seven languages by Islamic scholars due to the peculiar nature of the FCT scheduled to take place from 8 o’clock in the morning each day.

The orientation exercises is to enable intending pilgrims get proper enlightenment on the hajj rites as well as guidelines and new policies introduced for this year’s hajj by the Saudi authorities and National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
