The Minister of State for Works, Rt. Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, Esq., has officially launched the annual Ramadan package distribution in Goronyo Local Government Area (L.G.A.) to support both the Federal and State Governments’ efforts during the holy month of Ramadan.
The distribution includes bags of parboiled rice, millet, maize, and cash gifts totaling over one hundred and fifty million Naira (₦150 million).
The beneficiaries, including party stalwarts, religious leaders, trade union members, security agencies, women and youth groups, as well as social media activists, elderly citizens, and those in need, span all eleven wards of the L.G.A.
Each of the eleven wards in the L.G.A. received ₦1.6 million in cash, 50 bags of rice, and 20 bags each of millet and maize. L.G.A. Executives were given ₦2.8 million and 28 bags of 50kg rice. Ward Executives received ₦14.3 million and 286 bags of assorted grains. Party Elders were given ₦1 million and 44 bags of rice. APC Youth Group 1, 2, and 3 each received ₦1 million and 20 bags of rice. Religious Leaders received ₦1 million and 20 bags of rice. Traditional Rulers were allotted ₦2 million and 50 bags of rice. Social Media Group: ₦1 million and 25 bags of rice. Women’s Groups: ₦500,000 and 25 bags of rice. Security Agents: 50 bags of rice. Workers’ Union: ₦500,000 and 20 bags of rice. New Decampees to APC: ₦500,000 and 20 bags of rice. Party Stakeholders: ₦1 million and 50 bags of rice. Numerous other groups and individuals also benefited from the gesture.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the Executive Chairman of Goronyo L.G.A., Engr. Zubairu Yari; APC Chairman, Alh. Saidu Muhammad; Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Alh. Hussaini Umar Gorou; Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters, Hon. Faruku Ahmadu Rimawa; and numerous party supporters.
Beneficiaries expressed their immense gratitude to Rt. Hon. Goronyo for the life-changing intervention. In his remarks, Rt. Hon. Goronyo reiterated the unwavering commitment of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmad Tinubu to improving the lives of Nigerians through various policies and programs under the Renowned Hope Agenda, which spans multiple sectors.
