JUST IN: Iran Fires Missiles at US Bases in Qatar, Iraq

Iran has launched missile attacks targeting US military bases in Qatar and Iraq, in what state media described as a forceful retaliation for recent American strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

State-run broadcaster IRNA reported on Monday evening that the operation, dubbed “Blessing of Victory,” had begun, confirming strikes on US installations in both countries. Iranian state TV called the attack a “powerful response.”

AFP correspondents in Doha, the Qatari capital, reported hearing loud explosions near Al Udeid Air Base, the largest US military outpost in the Middle East.

In response, Qatar’s Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems had intercepted the missile attack on Al Udeid, adding that there were no casualties or injuries.

“The Ministry of Defense confirms that Qatari air defenses successfully neutralized a missile threat targeting Al Udeid Air Base,” the statement said, assuring the public that the situation is under control.

The developments mark a significant escalation in tensions between Tehran and Washington, with implications for stability across the Gulf region.
