Plateau Govt Relieves Chief Dabang of Role as Political Adviser

The Plateau State Government has relieved Chief Letep Dabang of his position as Political Adviser to the Governor, to enable him pursue new political affiliations.

In his place, the government has appointed Rt. Hon. Istifanus Mwansat, a former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Arch. Samuel Nanchang, and made available to newsmen in Jos.

The statement further announced additional appointments approved by Governor Caleb Mutfwang. These include:

  • Hon. Theophilus Dakas Shan – Special Adviser on National Party Affairs
  • Hon. Habila Mutla – Special Adviser on Grassroots Soccer Development
  • Dr. Markus Avong – Special Adviser on Livestock and Veterinary Services
  • Hon. Hassana Kwande – Liaison Officer, Qua’an-Pan South
  • Mr. Emmanuel Dung Solomon – Senior Special Assistant on Artisanal Mining

According to the statement, all appointments take immediate effect.
