Kaduna: London-Based Philanthropist, Andishu, Lauds Gov. Sani’s Security and Peace Model

By Achadu Gabriel, Kaduna

London-based Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Moses Ted Andishu, has commended Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for what he described as improved security and peaceful coexistence across the state.

Andishu, who is the founder and CEO of the Andishu Foundation, noted that the ongoing reconstruction of the Kaduna–Abuja Expressway has boosted public confidence, especially as the once notorious highway is now considered safe for travellers.

In a personally signed statement made available to journalists on Friday, Andishu recalled that Governor Sani’s activism and concern for human lives were inspired by the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi, Dr. Beko Ransom-Kuti, and now President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He explained that the governor’s peace policies stand out, especially through re-engagement with traditional rulers, reinstatement of previously dethroned leaders, and collaboration with religious institutions to promote unity and moral guidance.

“In the past two years, Governor Sani has restored dignity to cultural and religious institutions while stressing the critical role of governors in ensuring peaceful coexistence and safeguarding lives and property,” Andishu said.

He further highlighted some of the administration’s achievements, noting that Kaduna has continued to attract foreign direct investment despite inheriting over ₦80 billion in domestic debt and $550 million in foreign loans. According to him, the state government has also provided free housing for insurgency victims, introduced 100 CNG buses offering free transportation, distributed farm inputs to boost agriculture, and reversed tuition hikes at Kaduna State University to prevent student dropouts. In the health sector, the government has upgraded 255 primary health centres, renovated 14 general hospitals, and completed a 300-bed specialist hospital. Infrastructure projects covering over 800 km of rural roads are also ongoing, with 30 already commissioned.

On security, Andishu observed that progress has been achieved through coordination with federal security agencies, while new ministries such as Youth Development, Information, and Humanitarian Affairs have been created to meet community needs. He added that during the state’s two-year anniversary, President Bola Tinubu praised Kaduna’s progress and contrasted it with what he described as a “toxic” past administration.

The philanthropist maintained that Governor Sani’s long-term vision is for Kaduna to emerge as a model for Nigeria in security, economic growth, education, and healthcare, affirming that the state will become a place where businesses thrive and citizens live in safety and dignity.
