Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, has congratulated Muslims on the occasion of Eid-Maulud, urging them to uphold the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, Falgore said the Assembly joins the Muslim Ummah in celebrating the birth of the Prophet, describing the period as one of love, tolerance, and reflection.
He called on Muslims to show compassion to the needy and promote peaceful coexistence irrespective of religious differences. “Let us make this season memorable by strictly adhering to the teachings of our noble Prophet in alignment with the Holy Qur’an,” the Speaker said.
Falgore further noted that the Assembly remains committed to strengthening Islamic institutions such as the Hisbah Board, Zakkat Commission, and Shura Council through relevant legislation.
“On behalf of all Honourable members of the Kano State House of Assembly, I extend warm wishes to the Muslim Ummah in Kano and beyond,” he concluded.
