Chairman of the North Central APC Forum, Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, has congratulated Barrister Buhari Ibrahim Shehu on his appointment as the Interim Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
In a congratulatory message issued on Friday in Jos, Zazzaga described Shehu’s appointment as a “triumph of dedication, competence, and acceptance,” noting that it reflects the confidence of Nigerian youths in his leadership capacity and vision.
“We in the North Central, especially in Plateau State, are proud of you. You are a brother, and we congratulate you on this well-deserved appointment,” Zazzaga stated.
He urged the new NYCN interim chairman to work closely with all stakeholders to reposition the Council as a credible and united platform for Nigerian youths.
Zazzaga also charged the interim leadership to prioritize restoring stability within the NYCN, which has in recent years been affected by internal crises and leadership disputes.
According to him, Shehu’s emergence is not only a win for Plateau State but also a testament to his years of selfless service, youth advocacy, and commitment to nation-building.
He expressed optimism that the new NYCN chairman will deploy his wealth of experience and passion for youth development to reposition the Council for greater national impact.
Zazzaga further urged the interim leadership to promote inclusiveness, foster collaboration with government agencies and development partners, and advance policies that address the needs and aspirations of Nigerian youths.
