Agricultural
Value Chains which was held at CSS Global Integrated Farms in Gora, Nasarawa State.

In a statement issued by Celestine Toruka, the two-week training program was designed to equip the youths with modern farming skills and knowledge to drive positive change in agribusiness.

Representing the Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Iliyas Aliyu-Gital, commended the Chairman of CSS Global Integrated Farms, Professor John Kennedy Opara, and his team for delivering high-quality training that would help the Bauchi State youths to drive positive change in agribusiness.

“The training is designed to provide young people with opportunities to learn from experienced leaders through training and mentorship programs in modern farming,” the Governor said. “I charge you to embrace farming and see agriculture as a major profession that can reduce poverty, raise incomes, improve food security, and boost productivity.”

In his lecture titled “The Power of Vision,” Professor Opara emphasized the importance of understanding one’s purpose and having a clear vision. “Unless one understands what he is created to achieve, his time on earth will be useless,” he said. “There is no better way to prepare the youth, who are often referred to as leaders of tomorrow, than equipping them with knowledge.”

The participants were trained in various areas, including grains production, poultry, fishery, food processing, packaging, and branding. The training program aimed to empower the youths with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to nation-building efforts.

During the graduation ceremony, special awards were given to the Chairman of CSS Integrated Farm and the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed for excellent leadership style.

The participants thanked the Government of Bauchi State for organizing the empowerment program and for being part of the historic occasion.

High point of the training was monetary rewards and gifts presented to some graduates for their outstanding performance.
