Senator Simon Bako Lalong, who represents Plateau South Senatorial District and is a former Governor of Plateau State, has celebrated his wife, Mrs. Regina Lalong, on her birthday, praising her role in the family and her contributions to humanitarian development.
In a statement issued on Friday to mark the occasion, Senator Lalong described his wife as a cherished partner, devoted mother and steadfast pillar of support whose encouragement has strengthened him throughout his years of public service.
He noted that despite the demanding nature of his official duties, which frequently kept him away from home, Mrs. Lalong managed the family with grace while instilling strong values and discipline in their children.
According to him, his wife exemplifies reliability, godliness, patience, kindness and integrity—qualities that, he said, have shaped her passion for humanity and service.
Lalong highlighted Mrs. Lalong’s influence as former First Lady of Plateau State, where she championed several social initiatives through the Switch Foundation.
The foundation, which she established, provided care, empowerment and hope to vulnerable groups, particularly women and children.
The Senator said her compassion, humility and dedication to improving the lives of others continue to inspire not only their family but also the wider community.
He concluded the message with prayers for God’s continued blessings on her life, including good health, favour and fulfilment in the years ahead.
The birthday message was issued by Dr. Makut Simon Macham, Special Adviser on Media to Senator Simon Bako Lalong, on 15 November 2025.
