The move is aimed at enhancing grassroots mobilization, improving coordination, and deepening the involvement of young people in governance and socio-economic development across the North Central geopolitical zone.

According to the NYA leadership, the decision reflects its confidence in the competence, integrity, experience, and commitment of the newly appointed officials to advance the alliance’s vision, mission, and core values. “These appointments form part of our strategic efforts to strengthen youth-driven leadership at the state and regional levels, while ensuring effective representation and participation of young people in national discourse,” the statement said. The leadership emphasized that the new chairpersons are expected to play a key role in mobilizing young people, promoting civic engagement, and driving programs that align with the alliance’s objectives of national unity and sustainable development. “The success of the alliance at the grassroots level depends largely on the effectiveness, commitment, and leadership capacity of our state and FCT chairpersons,” the statement added.
