The Bayelsa State Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Hon. Mrs. Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai, has formally handed over modern media equipment to the ministry and the state-owned Niger Delta Television (NDTV) to improve professionalism and operational efficiency.

The commissioner made the announcement and presented the items at her office in Information House, Ovom, Yenagoa. The procured equipment includes Sony video cameras, digital still cameras, tripods, a drone, hard drives, and memory cards.

Hon. Koku-Obiyai said that the acquisition aims to strengthen the media industry’s capacity in the state. She urged staff to utilize the tools judiciously and responsibly to achieve optimal results.

Receiving the equipment on behalf of NDTV’s management, Acting General Manager Mrs. Enato Isukul-Ayiba-Duba expressed gratitude to Governor Senator Douye Diri and the commissioner for the support. She described the gesture as timely and impactful, highlighting the governor’s ongoing commitment to the media sector.

Mrs. Isukul-Ayiba-Duba pointed to previous investments, including the construction and furnishing of the modern Ernest Ikoli Media Complex, as evidence of the administration’s dedication.

She assured that the new equipment would be managed effectively to enhance NDTV’s productivity, content quality, and ability to deliver timely, professional information to the public.
