A support group linked to Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, has inaugurated local government campaign structures across Kaduna State to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani ahead of the 2027 elections. The group, operating under the MUSAWAH for Youth and Development Initiative, said it established structures in all 23 local government areas of the state.
The inauguration of officials for Zones 1 and 2 was held at the organisation’s headquarters in Kaduna.Speaking at the event, the National Coordinator, Polycarp Gankon, described the initiative as a platform aimed at promoting youth engagement and supporting ongoing political mobilisation efforts.
According to him, a total of 92 officials—including coordinators, secretaries, and youth and women mobilisers—were inaugurated across the 23 LGAs. He added that ward-level structures would also be established to expand outreach at the grassroots. Gankon said the group supports the re-election bids of Tinubu and Sani, emphasising the need for coordinated mobilisation and consistent messaging across communities.
He also noted that the initiative plans to expand its activities beyond Kaduna State into other parts of the country. The event featured the distribution of campaign materials, including posters and banners, to support the activities of the newly inaugurated officials.
