Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has inaugurated local government and ward coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to strengthen grassroots mobilisation across the state.The ceremony, held in Asaba, saw the inauguration of 25 local government coordinators and 270 ward coordinators. The governor was represented by his deputy, Monday Onyeme.
Speaking at the event, Onyeme said the initiative would create a structured link between government and communities, enhancing engagement at the grassroots level. He urged the coordinators to promote unity, discipline, and consistent messaging in their roles.“The inauguration empowers you to represent and communicate government programmes effectively within your communities,” he said.
Former Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, described the initiative as a platform designed to improve communication of government policies and reforms. He encouraged the coordinators to work closely with party leaders and community stakeholders. Also speaking, APC National Vice Chairman (South-South), Victor Giadom, emphasised the importance of grassroots leadership, noting that the coordinators serve as direct links between the government and citizens.
State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Funkekeme Solomon, said the inauguration marks a key step in building a functional structure across all local government areas and wards in the state. He urged the coordinators to carry out their responsibilities with integrity and commitment.
